Advice for a safe stay

Traveler safety is a priority at Livantra, and we recommend doing a basic check of the accommodation upon arrival and reviewing the host’s rules before and during your stay. Although each property is different, following general guidelines can help you enjoy a safer and more relaxing trip.

In case of emergency, always contact the local emergency services.

Safety equipment and first aid

Upon arrival, it’s advisable to check:

  • The location of smoke detectors and, if applicable, carbon monoxide detectors.
  • The location of the fire extinguisher.
  • Available emergency exits and evacuation routes.

Many accommodations also provide emergency numbers, a basic first aid kit, or information about the nearest hospital.
If this information is not available, you can contact the owner through your Livantra account.

Emergency contact information

Before traveling, we recommend:

  • Taking note of local emergency numbers.
  • Sharing your itinerary and accommodation details with a trusted contact.

After completing your Livantra booking, you will receive the contact details of the owner or agency to assist you with any questions during your stay.

For added safety, we recommend keeping communications within the platform whenever possible.

Accommodation safety and privacy

If you have questions about specific safety measures, you can check them directly with the owner through your Livantra account. For example:

  • Whether there is an active alarm system.
  • Whether there are security cameras outside the accommodation (indoor surveillance devices are not allowed under Livantra’s policy).
  • How these systems work and where they are located.

Owners are required to clearly inform guests of any exterior surveillance equipment, in accordance with our privacy and traveler protection policies.

House rules

To ensure a safe and respectful stay, always follow the rules set by the owner or agency, such as:

  • Pet policy
  • Quiet hours and behaviour guidelines
  • Whether smoking or events are allowed
  • Maximum number of guests allowed

If you need clarification on any rule, you can contact the owner directly from your Traveler space.

Safety is a shared responsibility: Livantra provides the tools and a reliable environment, and you can reinforce it by following these recommendations upon arriving at the accommodation.
