Damage deposits
Damage deposits
On Livantra, some accommodations may require a damage deposit as a security measure to cover any incidents that may occur during the stay.
The management of this deposit is the sole responsibility of the property owner or agency.
This means that:
- Livantra does not manage, hold, or refund damage deposits.
- Each owner sets their own conditions regarding the amount, method of collection, and refund process.
- Information about the deposit - if applicable - will appear in the accommodation description or be provided directly by the owner before arrival.
If any damage occurs during your stay - whether a deposit was required or not - the cost of the repair will be the guest’s responsibility. In these situations, the owner or agency is responsible for claiming the corresponding amount from the traveler, as Livantra does not intervene in the management or resolution of damage-related incidents.
Additionally, the owner has up to 14 days after the end of the stay to inspect the accommodation and submit a claim if any issue is detected.
These claims may include:
- damage to the property,
- extra cleaning costs,
- replacement or shipment of forgotten items,
- damages caused by pets or unregistered guests.
If you have questions about the damage deposit or have not received the refund within the expected timeframe, you can contact the owner or agency directly from the My Bookings section in your Livantra account.
